Equity Learning Space – FREE Math Tutoring Now Open (Feb–June 2026)

Halton Black Voices is excited to welcome students and families to our Equity Learning Space, a program offering FREE math tutoring support for Grade 9–10 students in the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB).

This tutoring program is focused on Math and Numeracy only and is designed for students who are currently achieving 70% or below, and may not yet be meeting the provincial standard for their grade level.

Students will receive personalized support from dedicated Black tutors, with assistance available for homework completion, test preparation, and building stronger foundational math skills. Sessions are structured to address each student’s unique learning needs in a supportive and empowering environment.

This initiative reflects our vision of ensuring students have access to high-quality educational support that is culturally responsive and rooted in lived experience. Our goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen academic performance, and develop a positive relationship with math and numeracy.
